The University of Ilorin Students’ Union Government (SUG) have made calls to the university management to demote Dr. Tajudeen Ajiboye of his role as sub-dean Faculty of Engineering.
This call was made this afternoon through a press release issued from the office of the students’union public relations officer, Damilare Omotosho.
Recall that yesterday Beauld reported a confrontation between the union president, Lukman Shobowale, and the sub-dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Tajudeen Ajiboye.
Omotosho described yesterday’s incident as “callous and unsavoury”.
He said that the union would ensure that the sub-dean is brought to book.
He added that:
“It is also worthy of note that the event also offends the collective sensibilities of the entire student populace, It therefore suffices to adapt the time less adage, that “an injury to one is injury to all.”
The union is also requesting that Dr. Ajiboye tender a public apology to the union president and the students community within 24-hours.
